ClearLight Diagnostics Licenses Exclusive Intellectual Property Rights for 3D Visualization, Image Processing, and Novel CLARITY-based Tissue Clearing Instrumentation

ClearLight Diagnostics, LLC (ClearLight), a developer of a next generation tissue processing and 3D imaging platform for cancer tissue, announced today that it has licensed additional technology from Stanford University.  The new license agreement provides exclusive intellectual property rights covering inventions that can be applied to CLARITY processed tissues, specifically for the visualization and quantification of immunolabeled long process structures such as tumor vasculature.  Additional licensed inventions describe a flow-assisted tissue clearing device and a computational pipeline for automated image registration and quantification of cells in immunolabeled whole tissue samples imaged using light-sheet microscopy.
